Team Sisters Riding for Sight

As l said previously, its hard to get Team Sisters together to ride as a team at this time of the year.

Last weekend Shazza Willmott and Kerry Fitzgerald finished the minimum 116kms ride for the Heart Foundation.
Sadly, Leesa Willmott was too busy on the farm to find time to ride with us.
Team Sisters are happy to say after the 47km ride from Inverloch to Wonthaggi and then back to Inverloch via Cape Paterson, we have ridden 145.5 kms for the month of August. We are even happier to announce we have raised $1015 for the Heart Foundation.

Last weekend was really busy for Team Sisters Shazza Willmott, Leesa Willmott & Kerry Fitzgerald.
On Friday night we welcomed the very enthusiastic w**e specialist from Hentley Farm Winery in the Barossa. Simon Pickett generously and meticulously showcased 10 of Hentley Farms w**es to our guests, at our home in Inverloch.

Sadly, Team Sisters planned Saturday ride had to be cancelled until Sunday due to tiredness and a total lack of motivation

Yesterday we jumped on our bikes and left Inverloch at around 11am. We headed out of Inverloch, turning left at Lynnes road turned right at Korumburra-Wonthaggi road and then turning left onto West Creek road. Those little hills up West Creek road slowed us up, as we are all not that fit in the middle of winter.
We then headed down the Loch-Wonthaggi road, turned left onto Heslop road and into North Wonthaggi for a quick lunch stop at Mum & Dads. After lunch we headed back to Inverloch via the new bike track.

Another 52.5kms done and dusted to help raise money for the Heart Foundation. Yesterday "Team Sisters" Shazza Willmott, Leesa Willmott & Kerry Fitzgerald started our 116kms ride for the Heart Foundation.

As we were all abit limited for time, we snuck a quick ride in the morning. Leaving Inverloch we road via Lynn's road to Wonthaggi with a quick stop at Mum & Dads to put my knee brace on and fill up the water bottles. We headed to Cape Paterson via South Dudley. Stopped to check for whales and then headed back towards Inverloch.

We rode 46kms in total.
Average speed was 22.2kms per hour.
It took us 2.05hrs traveling time.

This August Team Sisters have decided to raise money for the Heart Foundation.

Sadly heart disease is also part of our inheritance.
Grandpa passed away after having a massive heart attack while getting the dairy cows in several years ago. Dad has a pacemaker to keep his heart ticking at a steady pace. Mum had a stent put in her main artery after her heart attack and l have to visit my cardiologist for a check up soon.

When we can all get time off from our busy lives to ride as a team, we will ride a minimum of 116kms, which is the number of how many Aussies die each day of Heart Disease.

Yesterday Kerry Fitzgerald & Shazza Willmott went for a 47km training ride via Inverloch-Cape Paterson coast road, as we all haven't been on our bikes since April.
