Breaking news from the Kerang Wetlands Crew...

Following on from our recent post introducing the Cycling Without Age Wetlands Crew introducing Iggy the Ibis, our recruitment campaign has expanded beyond.

Joining the team are Wally and Wendy the Water Hens, Rosie the Royal Spoonbill, Colin the Little Pied Cormorant, Darla and Darcy the Darters, plus Chip and Chuck, our newest apprentice observers.

The crew has undergone extensive training in passenger comfort, storytelling, snack identification and wetland appreciation. Their incident history remains excellent, although a few unscheduled stops for wildlife inspections have been recorded.

All jokes aside, our local Cycling Without Age is a real volunteer service bringing connection, companionship and a little adventure to people who may otherwise miss out.

If spending a few hours helping someone enjoy the wind in their hair sounds like your kind of adventure volunteering, we'd love to welcome you aboard.

There's a new pilot in town so we're off to:
Cycling Without Age – Wetlands Division
Introducing -
Iggy the Ibis
Senior Pilot and Community Connector

Qualifications:
Advanced Trishaw Operations
Wetland Interpretation
Community Engagement
Nestling Transport Endorsement

Incident History:
One unscheduled stop to inspect a frog.
Two deviations from designated route due to "interesting bird activity."
Zero lost passengers.

Overheard:
"Are we going past the rookery again, Mr Iggy?"
"Yes, but keep your beaks inside the trishaw at all times."

Now if you'll excuse me, Iggy has just submitted a funding application for a second trishaw. Apparently passenger demand among the nestlings is exceeding fleet capacity. 🦆🚲🌿❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

The simple joy of a trishaw ride is the same all around the world! And wow - to be invited to share the love with our friends in Sweden was oh so special.....
We're looking forward to cycling our streets this Advent season and sharing the good tidings with our passengers and community.....

And just like that the refurb on the town water tower is complete! Thanks Lower Murray Water , we've enjoyed following the progress....... comments ranged from: fascinating, scary, interesting jobs, freezing, boys and tonka toys, glad I'm not up there, wouldn't mind being up there and what a view to have!
