Congratulations to Jacob Cole, a Year 10 student at Galston High School, who was presented with a Youth Excellence Award from Norwest Sunrise Rotary Club this morning.

Jacob has been volunteering twice weekly at Serving Hope on Wheels, a project of Kenthurst Rotary Club, for the past 18 months. His dedication, compassion and willingness to help others has made a real difference to our community and to the many people who visit the food van each week.

We are incredibly proud of Jacob and grateful for the kindness, maturity and commitment he brings to the project. He is a wonderful example of young people making a positive impact in their community.

Last night we had the pleasure of supporting the Norwest Sunrise Rotary at their trivia night and what a fantastic evening it was!

We’re proud to say we came away winners… taking home the wooden spoon 🥄
In our defence, we only had five team members and that’s our story and we’re sticking to it!

On a more serious note, we were delighted to present President Robert with a thank you plaque in appreciation of their ongoing support of our Serving Hope on Wheels project.

A wonderful night filled with laughter, community spirit, and great company. 💛

We were delighted to welcome Michele Ellery District Governor to our meeting tonight. Thank you for taking the time to share updates and insights on what’s happening across Rotary International, it’s always interesting to hear the bigger picture.

A very special moment for our club was the induction of Michael, our wonderful 18-year-old who has patiently waited 12 months to officially become a Rotarian. We’re so proud to have you join us, Michael—your journey starts now!

We were so lucky to have not one, but TWO fantastic guest speakers at our meeting last night!

First up was our youngest ever speaker, Mason Webb who amazed us all with his knowledge of dinosaurs . He confidently pronounced even the trickiest names - no mean feat! He was thrilled to receive his gift, a new dinosaur to add to his collection (and one he didn’t already have!).

We also heard from Troy McPhee from Adviser FP, who shared some great insights into the myths of financial planning and gave us plenty of practical tips.

A big thank you to both of our wonderful speakers

Troy also presented a very generous $2,500 donation towards our food van—funds that were kindly donated from a speaker fee at one of their presentations. We are incredibly grateful for this support.
