The Crisafulli LNP State Government's 2026 Budget continues to deliver the Fresh Start we promised Queenslanders, with no new or increased taxes, and a continued focus on cost of living relief, safer communities, better health services and a plan for Queensland's future.
✅ This Budget delivers a $700 million increase in cost of living relief, providing practical support for Queensland families and households.
✅ 50 cent fares are now permanent, delivering ongoing cost of living relief that local residents can rely on.
✅ We have increased our Back to School Boost by 50 per cent, with $150 for every primary school student to help families with the cost of school essentials.
✅ Play On! Sports Vouchers are locked in, helping more Queensland children participate in local sport and active recreation.
✅ A record $35.5 billion Health Budget will deliver more free healthcare than ever before, including more health workers, more ambulances, and continued delivery of our Hospital Rescue Plan.
✅ Through the Hospital Rescue Plan, we are delivering a new multi-storey car park and a new 200-bed acute clinical services building at Ipswich Hospital, expanding healthcare capacity.
✅ $7.2 billion has been allocated to make Queensland safer, delivering stronger laws, more police, better resourced courts, domestic and family violence initiatives, child protection reforms and greater support for victims of crime.
✅ A $250 million Keeping Our Kids Safe package will strengthen child safety across childcare, schools and the community, including implementation of the In Plain Sight recommendations and establishment of a new Queensland Protection Commission.
✅ Free vision, hearing and speech development checks for kindergarten children will be expanded statewide, helping ensure children are ready to learn and thrive when they start school.
✅ We are continuing to invest in local school infrastructure, including a New Outdoor Learning area at Kenmore State High School through the School Subsidy Scheme, more than $1 million for maintenance and improvement works across local schools, and progressing planning for additional school infrastructure for the electorate of Moggill.
✅ This State Budget continues the delivery of our election commitment to invest $75 million in safety and congestion improvements at the Kenmore Roundabout and Our Lady of the Rosary intersection.
✅ We are progressing the extension of the 444 Bus service to the Moggill District Sports Park, alongside construction of a new Footpath.
✅ Progressing planning for the Moggill Road, Moordale Street, active transport project design and construction.
✅ The work on our $3 million commitment for a new Community and Neighbourhood Centre for the electorate of Moggill continues to progress through planning and development work, helping deliver a dedicated space for community connection, support services and local activities.
✅ And we have already delivered more than $1.3 million in funding for local sporting, environmental, community and volunteer organisations, supporting our local horse and pony clubs, Scouts, Girl Guides, community gardens, local sporting clubs, community facilities and significant upgrades including for the Mt Crosby Bowls Club and Brookfield Showgrounds.
The 2026 State Budget builds on the strong foundations established in our first State Budget and continues to deliver the Fresh Start we promised for the electorate of Moggill.
From major infrastructure projects and community facilities, to local sporting clubs, environmental organisations and community groups, we are delivering practical outcomes for local residents while planning for the future.
