CUC Macleay Valley is ALL IN for reconciliation. Late last year we worked with Jason Ridgeway to create this beautiful artwork, grounding our Centre in country, connection and culture.

We recognise our role in reconciliation and supporting all our students in their learning journey, and meeting them where they are.

A huge congratulations to Emma on this incredible achievement! 👏✨

Emma, a regular student at CUC Macleay Valley during her HSC studies, has received a Bronze Commendation from the Governor of New South Wales and was named one of six finalists for the prestigious Governor's Sword of Honour for Excellence through the Australian Air Force Cadets.

This recognition reflects Emma’s outstanding leadership, dedication and commitment — and we are so proud to see her hard work recognised at such a high level.

We loved being part of this fantastic opportunity for Kempsey High School students! 🎓✨

On Tuesday, 33 students took part in an engaging on-campus experience at Charles Sturt University Port Macquarie through the KHS Educational Pathways Program in partnership with us at CUC Macleay Valley.

From campus and accommodation tours led by student ambassadors, to interactive workshops, career activities and exploring future study and training pathways, the day gave students valuable insight into life after school and the many opportunities available to them.

Experiences like these help young people connect their strengths, interests and goals with future education and career pathways — and we’re proud to support that journey.

A huge thank you to Charles Sturt University and Kempsey High School for collaborating to make the day such a success! 🙌

Today on International Nurses Day, we want to recognise the incredible nurses who care for our communities every single day. 💙

From hospital wards to aged care, emergency departments to community health, nurses are there in some of life’s hardest and most important moments. Their compassion, resilience and skill make an enormous difference.

At the Country Universities Centre Macleay Valley, we are proud to support students pursuing careers in health and making a difference close to home. Since opening, we have supported 147 students studying health-related degrees — including many future nurses who are helping strengthen healthcare across our region.

Regional communities need local healthcare workers, and it’s inspiring to see so many students stepping up to pursue careers dedicated to helping others.

To all nurses, nursing students, educators and healthcare workers — thank you for the care, sacrifice and commitment you show every day.

Today we’re celebrating 5 years of CUC Macleay Valley! 🎉

For half a decade, we’ve been proud to provide a welcoming space for our community to study, connect and grow. In that time, we’ve supported over 800 students, with 77 completing a Certificate III or higher qualification.

We have watched people grow, held hands through tough times, won awards, gained staff, lost staff and it's been a wild ride.

We couldn't have done it without our amazing Chair, Liz Campbell and the support of the fantastic board.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey so far — here’s to many more years ahead! 🧡

CUC Macleay Valley is proud to welcome its 800th student since opening in April 2021.

Meet Martin, a young entrepreneur that is participating in The Launchpad Program developing a business in the region. He is creating clothing for people with mobility issues and/or living with disability so that they may dress independently.
