The City of Armadale’s Small Business Shopfront Improvement Grants are now open, with matched funding of up to $5,000 available for eligible businesses.

Funding can help with:

- Shopfront painting and façade upgrades
- New or upgraded signage
- Landscaping and greening
- External lighting
- Alfresco improvements

We’d love to see as much of this funding as possible invested right here in Kelmscott.

🍔 McDonald’s to relocate to a new Kelmscott location

We’ve received confirmation that McDonald’s is planning to relocate to a new site on the corner of Albany Highway and Denny Avenue, opposite Kelmscott Plaza.

Irrespective of our individual views, many will be happy to see one of the last remaining temporary fences in Kelmscott finally come down, with this long-vacant site set to be put to use.

The new restaurant is expected to include a playground and a new McCafe, with completion currently anticipated to be approximately 12 months from now.

It’s another change for the Kelmscott town centre and will be interesting to see how the site develops over the coming year.

A Positive Update ❤️

We understand that the group of owners have now accepted a quotation for the required repairs on this building.

The repairs are expected to get underway within the next couple of weeks - fingers crossed everything proceeds as planned.

This is welcome news, and we're sure the residents of the apartments, the businesses operating below and the wider community will all be pleased to finally see some progress.

We know there has been a lot of discussion about the apartments, and respectful conversation is welcomed. However, derogatory comments directed aimed at residents or businesses will be deleted ✌️

Let’s focus on the positive news and hopefully seeing these much-needed repairs finally completed 😅
