What a beautiful morning.

A heartfelt thank you to the seven incredible women who joined us for our very first Neurodivergent Women's Circle. Your openness, honesty, courage and willingness to share your lived experiences created such a warm, safe and accepting space. It was a privilege to witness the connections, laughter, insights and genuine sense of belonging that unfolded throughout the morning.

We're also grateful to everyone who expressed interest but couldn't attend due to timing. Your messages have shown us just how needed this community is, and we'll certainly be exploring future gatherings at different times so more women have the opportunity to join us.

A very special thank you to the Swan Valley Sports Club for generously providing the beautiful meeting space, along with tea, coffee and biscuits. Your support helped create a welcoming environment where meaningful conversations could flourish.

Thank you also to Ally from Befriend Swan for your encouragement, support and collaboration, and to Created Kinship Australia and The Homestead Community Hub Inc. for believing in the importance of creating inclusive spaces where neurodivergent women can connect, feel seen and know they are not alone.

This is only the beginning, and we can't wait to gather again.

There are no words to capture the essence and power of the beautiful connections that emerge between these truly remarkable horses and humans.

Last month, Created Kinship Australia's facilitator Claire and her herd; Astro, Scarlett, Patches & Cobalt Blue held space for authentic connections in the beautiful Swan Valley, Perth.

Their unique Equine Assisted Learning, Wellness & Development sessions are one way that truely softens the nervous system.

With compassionate, joyful and meaningful guidance, patience and education, participants build confidence, awareness, and numerous other skills across all domains of development.

Sessions follow a flexible routine (time of day dictates the basis of the routine [feed times etc]) plus experiential learning (and therapy goals if required) occur along the way.

Gratitude, laughter & a slightly dramatic drive home… 🚗😂

A huge thank you to the beautiful communities of 💥Karratha, 💥Dampier and 💥Geraldton who joined us for the free EAL "ASTRO" sessions under the Homestead Community Hub Incorporation banner.

These short sessions were our way of giving back before Christmas 🎄

What we received in return was ✨️connection, ✨️openness, ✨️laughter, ✨️deep presence and that unmistakable feeling of ✨️community.

Your willingness to show up, try something new, and share space together is what makes this work so meaningful.
..And... 🤦‍♀️ because no good community offering is complete without a story… 🤦‍♀️

On the drive back from Karratha to Perth, the road decided we hadn’t quite learned all our lessons yet 😅

Cue: boat trailer issues, (not the float this time) multiple stops, and being stranded on the side of the road for three hours waiting for a spare tyre to arrive. 🛞

💥🛞Plenty of time for reflection, problem-solving… and reminding ourselves that the journey is always part of the medicine.

So thank you – for trusting us, for welcoming us, and for reminding us why community-based work matters so deeply
(even when the universe throws in a plot twist).

A hugh shout out and THANK YOU to Greg from Wooramill Roadhouse for trying your best and hunting through the mechanical graveyard. To Peter for all you do behind the scenes (starpicket one, Peter's toe zero 😪), and the Moore Family for stopping, helping, driving 70km to Overlander and back again with the goods before recommencing your holiday adventures 🙏❤️🙏

We just couldn't resist... today, high tide was about 11 am. Claire & Astro weren't that organised, but did arrive at Hearsons around 11:30.

The beautiful ocean was still high enough for him to completely swim and bring his bright white back to a glow from the Pilbara red dust bath of yesterday 🤣

We relaxed at the waters edge and welcomed those who came forward for a pat and chat.

Led by curiosity and a big hearts, our new friends left with smiles from ear to ear and an energy light as a feather.

So privileged to co-facilitate with Astro in our Community and now down in Perth, as far as Bridgetown, and everywhere in between upon invitation 🙏
