Yay - Term 4 has started and that means we have lots of fun & foody family activities planned - including Kids in the Kitchen after school program, Children's Week celebrations, Mini Chefs -fun together in the Kitchen for our younger cooks, Lunchbox Legends workshop, Friday night Fun Craft & Games & back by popular demand - Christmas Gingerbread decorating. Yes, We're still OPEN at the SALVOS during the roadworks on Bayview Road near Pegs Creek Primary school. We invite you to come and join us for great bargains, for a delicious FREE Community Lunch on Friday (12-1), for emergency relief and for our delicious FREE community breakfast on Tuesday from 8 - 10. Our team at the financial wellbeing hub were incredibly grateful to have once again been named a finalist for the People’s Choice Organisation Award. 💙

This marks the fourth year in a row that the Doorways/Financial Wellbeing Hub team has reached the finals — and we were especially proud to take home the award in 2024.

To be recognised by our community and fellow organisations is a beautiful reminder of the importance of the work we do, and of the impact it has for people experiencing vulnerability and crisis.

We are deeply grateful for the support, encouragement and trust shown to us by our community and our partners. It inspires us to keep showing up, listening, sharing knowledge and advocating for meaningful change.

We’ll continue working alongside our most vulnerable community members — supporting people through times of crisis, helping create pathways forward, and advocating for a future where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

We’re excited to share that our Doorways and Moneycare services have moved next door to 4 Bond Place, creating our new Financial Wellbeing Hub. 🎉

💰 Financial Wellbeing Hub~Open 5 days M-F
This is now where you’ll find:
• Emergency relief
• Casework
• Financial capability support
• Financial counselling

🍽️ Our Doorways community lunch and Jabaja programs will continue to run as normal from the Corps buildings on Fridays at 2 Bond Street.

⛪ All regular church services and Corps programs such as Tuesday breakfast & kids in the kitchen, will continue as normal from 2 Bond Street.
