Saying goodbye to tawny babies (now juveniles) who got a second chance at life. They came into care as orphans 3+mths ago because they were unable to be reunited with their parents. In a lot of cases the parents are looking after the baby's sibling/s in a nest very high up in a tree or on a power pole.

All our members are volunteers. Paws & Brooks Nature Sanctuary Inc is a, not for profit, registered charity/DGR (deductible gift recipient). We exist on the generous support of the community, whether time (enquire about volunteering) or donation https://pbns.org.au to help us continue to assist our wildlife in need.

These photos show we still have some amazing bushland in Brisbane, e.g. Toohey Forest, Sherwood Arboretum, Enoggera Dam (D'Aguilar National Park). We need to ensure we protect this bushland because unfortunately alot of inner urban development is removing trees which removes wildlife's nesting and feeding sources.

Thank you to the community who visited our exhibit at the Ipswich Sustainable Living Festival on Saturday. It was a hot but beautiful sunny day, with us located partly under a tree. The mall’s ambience was lovely with various shady areas. Cherie was our lucky raffle winner … she said her granddaughter will love the mumma and joey koalas. A big shout-out to our members who helped with the stall … job well done!

We’re pleased to invite you to Ipswich Sustainable Living Festival 2025 on this Saturday, 18 October, in the heart of Ipswich (free undercover parking)! This is a great opportunity to discover new ways to embrace an eco-friendly lifestyle including living with wildlife by minimizing harm to its habitats and ecosystems, reducing waste that can endanger animals and avoiding products that harm wildlife.

We’d love for you to be part of this special day.
