Life has been full of change lately, but we’re still fundraising and we’re still soldiering on!

ACES LEAD THE WAY!!

A big thank you to Chris’ colleagues for his send-off as he leaves Alstom for a new role in the rail industry!

In lieu of gifts, some of his colleagues were kind enough to make donations towards our fundraiser, with a generous donation from Gary Fuller getting us across the 4K minimum threshold for rally participation.

Thank you to all of our friends from Alstom, TMR, and QR for being part of his journey over the past 6-7 years. We wouldn’t be here without you!

Staring down the barrel of our pre-rally shopping list:

1) New Harmonic Balancer (PowerBond preferred, check slop in crank as this might inform decision on motor longevity once out)

2) Sump resealed - new rubber gasket kit meant to be available from TI.

3) Check oil pressure from pump - potential to fit oil pressure gauge to interior.

4) new water pump

5) new alternator

6) new power steering pump

7) replace head gasket and studs

8 ) Fit supplied extractors

9) Fit supplied intake manifold spacers

10) reconnect heater matrix for safe daily driving/demisting

11) Replace spark plugs

12) Check all grounds

13) remove/replace Bullbar with supplied items

14) find existing fault with high-beams and fix

15) install new driving/spotlights on new Bullbar

16) fit new transmission cooler (bigger than OEM)

17) flush/service trans

Almost there!!

We’re at $3728, almost across the 4K line on the last night of the financial year. The final load of bottles and cans is in, and we’ve got the money from our Drop Bear BBQ added in too.
