Ooops…

Looks like Paige and Dim have thrown their hats in the ring for next year’s Lunchbox Rally, a sister rally to Mystery Box - still raising funds for the cancer council, but allowing participation of kids from 7-14 years in age.

What an adventure!

Now we wait…

ANOTHER local Rally? We’re in Danger….*chuckles nervously*

Rack ‘Em Up!!

Thanks to the team at Drop Bear Garage for the fitment of our new roof rack on the Old Girl - after thirty years, the factory plastic mouldings gave out, and we’ve had limited time to make something work!

Now we’re riding with style… we just need a basket or a platform…

One step closer…

Thanks to Ty for the time he spent lining up and fitting our new 5-poster today! She looks pretty mean - and we appreciate the art he left behind on the trim panel for us!

There are some other things to sort, but hopefully this will improve ventilation through the notorious E series frontage AND stand up to any further encounters with kangaroos…

We are humbled to have passed $5300 with this year's fundraising effort, making this our best rally yet - without even meeting the start line.

We hope to be able to share some more updates about the wagon soon, and can't wait to be out there amongst it in the dirt where we belong.

It is just over 100 years now since Grandpa was born, and one wonders what might have been had he survived to see us now. I wish we could bottle this experience, and share it. I wish Nan could feel it from the comfort of her chair - that our fathers and uncles, and mothers and sisters could share this dream with us - if only once.

I'm grateful for the people who shaped us, who made us who we are. Simple kindnesses from big hearts, Vietnam Vets, Gamer Girls, and Kooky Cousins - we never forgot the lessons, and we never forgot where we came from - or the world we want this to be. These trips are just as much for you as they are for the people we lost along the way.

I think we turned out ok.
