We’re excited to launch a brand-new feature from the Sapphire Social Committee, your local guide to social events happening in and around Inverell!

The Social Scoop is all about shining a light on the amazing events being hosted by local clubs, charities, committees and organisations that bring our community together. Whether it’s a fundraiser, ladies day, trivia night, sporting event or social mixer, we want to help people discover opportunities to get involved, meet new people, support local groups and enjoy everything our community has to offer.

Our hope is that The Social Scoop encourages connection, conversation and community spirit — because great events create great people and stronger communities 💙

The Inverell Saints are excited to welcome the return of our AFL Nines Preseason Competition – a fun and social way to kick off the year!

🏉 Mixed Open Competition (Ages 13+)
📅 Start: 6 February 2026
📅 Finish: 20 March 2026
⏱️ 6-week comp + 1-week finals
🕕 Games from: 6.00pm
📍 Where: Cameron Park
💲 Cost: $50 per person

This mixed AFL Nines program is perfect for:
✔️ Returning players easing back into footy
✔️ New players wanting to try AFL in a non-contact, social environment
✔️ Anyone keen for a run around with mates
