The Lions Club of Inala Changeover Dinner for 2026 is officially done and dusted, and what a wonderful evening it was celebrating service, leadership, friendship, and community. With more than 50 in attendance. The room was full of love and cheer 🤩
Congratulations to the incoming Executive Team, who collectively bring decades of experience, leadership, community service, and passion to the club:
• Incoming President & Media/Marketing Officer – Nayda Hernandez (continuing as Media and Marketing Officer), bringing more than 10 years of being a lion and community experience and professional.
• Secretary – Mandeep Kaur, who brings extensive and decades of community and corporate experience and has already hit the ground running with a smile.
• Vice President 1 – Kyle Ryan, bringing valuable community experience and enthusiasm to the role. Love that his part of our team.
• Vice President 2 – Lean Metzroth, with more than 10 years of Lions community experience. The club could not ask for a more dedicated, hardworking, and rewarding Vice President.
• Treasurer, Club Administrator & Membership – John Moynihan (continuing), who brings more than 20 years of community service experience and unwavering commitment to the club.
• Membership Care Officer – Carol Hare, whose more than 10 years of community experience is matched only by her enormous kindness and caring heart.
This incoming executive team brings together a remarkable wealth of knowledge, combining experienced Lions members, recognised community leaders, and leaders within their respective academic and professional fields. Their collective expertise will undoubtedly guide the club into another successful year of service. Big thank you to the general members who also stay and volunteer with heart and support the team.
The club also extends our thanks to the outgoing executive, including Past President Kylie Gates and Lion Les Josiah, for their contribution over the past 12 months.
A special thank you goes to Lion Heather Short for conducting the Changeover Ceremony, and to District Governor Elect Stuart Matthews of Lions District 201Q3 with his wife Barbara Matthews for attending and participating in the evening's celebrations and all the lions members who attended.
The club was also delighted to officially welcome two new members, Chris and Narelle, who will undoubtedly bring community spirit, enthusiasm, and valuable contributions to the Lions family. Thank you lion John Moynihan for another fantastic induction.

Finally, thank you to all the community organisations, businesses, Chambers of Commerce, community champions, family, and friends who attended - too many too name ( you know who you are). Thank you for sharing a meal, enjoying a laugh, supporting the raffles, and most importantly, coming together to celebrate an incredible team of volunteers who lead with heart, kindness, integrity, and purpose.
