The UAE had Mabrokan which was one of the great Beauty camels of the modern world, big black , beautiful and worth millions and now some 15 plus years after its death it has 10 plus identical off springs thanks to Cloning. Mongolia has the biggest and most impressive Bactrian camel I have ever seen and now Australia enters the competition with "The Australian Camel of the Year" Competition. The three photos show the three different countrys, What do you think is the best of the best. See you all in Bourke in September this year to decide on Australia's best camel. 🙂

Hello Everyone

Well we have not long finished our recon trip down the Darling River and the reception we got was very very good.
So now we are officially all go, so spread the word and lets make this one of those great treks of Australia
The ACBR is a nonprofit group so we have every intention of returning any profits to organisations such as Fred Hollows, RFDS, local schools and the Australian Camel industry
We have modified the trip and made it shorter and it will now finish in Wilcannia, it will also be a little cheaper
There will be big camel Races and a competition for Australia’s Camel of the Year at the start in Bourke.
Bring your own camel, horse or wagon or we can supply one for you, everyone is welcome
So lets make The Darling River Camel Festival one to remember for years to come
