Celebrating Our Superstars: A Heartfelt Thank You to Eliska, Kate, Kath & Our Incredible Volunteer Team
In the afterglow of MI Care’s hugely successful Super Fun Day Sausage Sizzle Fundraiser, it’s important to pause and recognise the people whose dedication, teamwork, and generosity made the day run so smoothly.
While the community enjoyed the sunshine, music, raffles, and delicious food, a remarkable group of individuals were working tirelessly behind the scenes.
At the heart of this effort were Eliska, our exceptional admin assistant, and our two powerhouse volunteers, Kate Kearns and Kath Munro — three people whose commitment before and during the event helped turn a great idea into a truly memorable community celebration.

From coordinating logistics to preparing materials, managing communications, and keeping every detail on track, Eliska was the steady, organised engine driving the event forward. Her professionalism, warmth, and calm approach ensured everything came together seamlessly. The success of the day reflects her outstanding work long before the gates opened.
Kate & Kath — Volunteers Who Go Above and Beyond
Our volunteers Kate Kearns and Kath Munro brought energy, heart, and an unwavering willingness to help wherever needed. Whether setting up stalls, assisting visitors, managing activities, or stepping in at a moment’s notice, they embodied the true spirit of community service. Their reliability and enthusiasm lifted the entire event.

From the early‑morning setup crew to the raffle helpers, the BBQ team, the plant stall supporters, the face painters, the pack‑down champions, and everyone who jumped in with a smile — your efforts made the event shine.
