How can we tell what’s true in a world of deepfakes, misinformation, and AI-generated news?
Join us this Global Ethics Day for a special webinar exploring how ethical thinking helps us navigate misinformation and fake news.
Hosted by journalist and writer Sarah MacDonald, the session will feature a live ethics lesson led by Kelby Mason, Primary Ethics Philosopher-in-Residence and curriculum author. The lesson — adapted from the current curriculum — will be followed by a Q&A.
We’re excited to welcome our special guest participants:
- Allegra Spender MP (Member for Wentworth)
- Ed Coper (strategic communications specialist and author of Facts and Other Lies)
-Alexa Stuart (volunteer ethics teacher and Bob Brown Young Environmentalist of the Year 2024)
-Winnie Tang (volunteer ethics teacher and aeronautical engineer)
-Kevin Farmer (volunteer ethics teacher and corporate social responsibility consultant)
-Jean-Paul Leung (volunteer ethics teacher and coordinator)
-Abby Webb (current Year 7 ethics student)
This is a wonderful opportunity to see how Primary Ethics lessons inspire critical thinking and respectful discussion — skills we all need in today’s information-saturated world.
Everyone’s welcome!
