🌿 Tasmania’s 2026 National Tidy Towns Finalist Announced 🌿

Congratulations to Huon Valley Council, selected to represent Tasmania at the Australian Tidy Towns Awards 2026.

Stretching from kunanyi / Mount Wellington to Tasmania’s southernmost reaches, the Huon Valley is a region known for its stunning natural landscapes, productive agricultural areas, and vibrant community spirit. The area encompasses World Heritage wilderness alongside thriving local industries, creating a unique culture shaped by both nature and people.

As one of Tasmania’s fastest-growing regions, Huon Valley continues to balance environmental stewardship with sustainable development while preserving the rural character and lifestyle that make the region so special. 🌏🌱

Best of luck to Huon Valley as it represents Tasmania on the national stage!

A reminder to Tasmanian councils that entries are now open for the Keep Australia Beautiful National Tidy Towns Sustainability Awards 🌿

With the state program officially resuming later this year, councils are able to nominate via the Keep Australia Beautiful National Association for the chance to be recognised in individual categories and to be selected as Tasmania’s representative for the 2026 Australian Tidy Towns Overall Award which will be presented in Launceston on 16 May 2026.

With Tasmania’s strong track record on the national stage, this is a great opportunity to highlight the initiatives making a real difference in your community.
