A village where strangers become friends, coffee catch-ups turn into regular dates, and the kids aren’t the only ones making new friends.

The Mum Connection is about creating a space where mums feel welcome, supported and understood. Where you can show up exactly as you are, bring the kids along, meet other mums who just get it and know you’re not doing this motherhood thing alone.

From our walking groups and coffee catch-ups to community events, workshops and the friendships that grow along the way, we’re building something pretty special across Tasmania. 🫶

💗 MEET THE FOUNDERS MADI & EMILY 💗

Two mums of pigeon pairs, two very different personalities, and one shared mission to build a village for mums!

Meet Madi, the one who can’t sit still, has approximately 500 ideas a day and is always thinking, “Okay, but what if we did THIS too?” 😂 If there’s an opportunity to do more for mums, she’s probably already planning it.

Then there’s Emily, the level headed planner with a big heart, who helps turn those big ideas into actual plans. The calm in the chaos, the organised one keeping things on track, and the perfect person to balance out all those “I’ve had another idea!” moments. 🤣

Madi started The Mum Connection as a Facebook group, and what began as a little idea has grown into a community connecting mums across Tasmania.

Now, together, they’re taking TMC to the next level creating more opportunities for mums to connect, make friends and find their village.

Different strengths, the same big heart for our community, and plenty more to come.

Introducing our 2026/2027 Committee 💗

The Mum Connection wouldn’t be what it is today without the incredible women who show up, give their time and help us build a community where mums feel supported, connected and understood.

We’re so excited to introduce our committee for the year ahead!

As we continue to grow across Tasmania, we’re so grateful to have a team of women who share the same vision: making motherhood feel a little less lonely and helping every mum find her village.

Here’s to another year of building connections, creating opportunities and showing up for mums across Tasmania.

Also, a huge thank you to our previous committee for everything you’ve contributed to TMC. Your time, energy, ideas and dedication have helped shape the community we have today, and we’re so grateful for the part you’ve played in getting us here.
