The Little HELP Project

The Little HELP Project The Little HELP Project Tasmania is a local charity running innovative workshops/community programs

The Little HELP Project is a local non for profit organisation which runs full day programs within schools and community groups within Tasmania. This organisation was established in direct response to the growing mental health concerns facing young people. The workshops provide a preventative approach to some of the major social issues facing young people such as bullying, anxiety, self-esteem, re

lationships and mental health. The programs include targeted activities, empowering speeches and opportunities for students to self-reflect, develop their personal and communication skills. By creating a fun, safe and positive environment, we may build skills of tolerance, awareness, leadership and mindfulness. The underlying theme of our program involves upskilling our participants so that they may recognise when others around them may need a 'little help' and have the knowledge, understanding and capacity to provide support and help to those around them. Through the utilisation of peer-to-peer mentoring our program is run by experienced and trained, local young adults. We have had the opportunity to work with a variety of schools and community groups throughout the years with some incredibly positive responses. We welcome as much feedback as possible as we continue to develop our programs in order to empower young people to reach their full potential.
