It doesn’t have to cost anything. Hold a door open. Give someone a compliment. Help a neighbour. Check in on a friend. Pick up some rubbish. Make someone smile.

Small acts can make a big difference, and make someone’s day.

A very special day for The Kindness Cubby 🤎

Our very first donation drive brought together our community in the most beautiful way, and as we stood in that hall surrounded by donations, generous hearts and people who simply wanted to help, it really hit us just how much The Kindness Cubby is growing. 🤎

The Kindness Cubby was created from a simple belief - that every child deserves to feel cared for and supported, especially during the times when life is a little harder. Today was a beautiful reminder that there are so many people in our community who believe in that too.

Pictured here are Zac and Sabrynah, the Founders of The Kindness Cubby, alongside three of our incredible committee members, Leanne, Peta and Kate, and one of our wonderful volunteers, Anne. We are incredibly grateful to have these people beside us as we take the next steps in building The Kindness Cubby and bringing our vision to life. 🤎

Behind the scenes, we are also working through the process of becoming an incorporated association, which is an exciting next step for The Kindness Cubby as we continue to establish the foundations of this initiative and build something that can grow sustainably within our community.

We are taking each step carefully and thoughtfully, and having such an incredible group of people around us makes this journey even more special. ❤️

We also want to say the biggest THANK YOU to every single person who donated today, dropped something off, shared our posts, encouraged us, volunteered their time or simply stopped by to find out more about what we're doing.

Today we received over 1,600 items.

Every toy, every piece of clothing, every book and every little act of generosity will help us reach a child or family who needs a little extra kindness. 🥹❤️

And this is only the beginning...
We have so much more to share with you, including some beautiful moments from today's donation drive and a look at just how much kindness our community has shown us.

Got donations sitting at home waiting to be dropped off? This is your reminder! 👀

Things that might be sitting unused in our homes can become something incredibly meaningful for a child or family who needs a little extra support.

Whether you have a bag of pre-loved clothing, toys, books, school supplies, baby items or essentials. It doesn’t matter if you have one item or a whole carload, every single donation makes a difference. ❤️

If you have something to give, we’d love to receive it. If you can share this post, that helps too. And if you simply want to come along and say hello, we’d love that just as much. 💛

✨ A BOOT FULL OF KINDNESS ✨

One of our Founders, Sabrynah, has been out and about visiting our amazing donation drop-off points, and WOW… look at what she collected! The boot is PACKED! 🥹

From clothes and toys to books and everyday essentials, every single donation represents someone in our community choosing to give a little kindness to someone who needs it. 🫶🏼

These donations will help us provide practical essentials to children, young people and families in our community who may be doing it tough.

A huge thank you to everyone who has donated so far, and to our incredible drop-off locations for helping make this possible.

We’re so excited to keep growing our Kindness Cubby community, and today we’re welcoming Stepping Stones Children’s Centre in Margate as another place to drop off your donations! ✨️

You can now drop your Kindness Cubby donations off at:

Every new drop-off location means more opportunities for our community to donate, get involved and help us support local children and families. 🤍

📢 NEW DONATION DROP-OFF LOCATION! 📢

We’re so excited to welcome First National Real Estate Hobart & Kingston as a new donation drop-off point for The Kindness Cubby! 🤎

We had the pleasure of meeting with Nikita Phillips FN from First National Kingston on Friday, and we’re incredibly grateful to have their support. 🥰

📍Donations can be dropped off during office hours at:
First National Kingston
2/16 Freeman Street, Kingston

And as if becoming a drop-off point wasn’t already wonderful enough, the team also generously donated toiletry bags filled with essentials for teenagers! 🧴🪥💗
These will be so thoughtfully received and included in future care packages.

Why we only accept clean, quality items. ✨️

We know every donation comes from a place of kindness, and we're incredibly grateful.

To ensure every child or family receives items they can use with confidence, we ask that donations are:

🤎 Clean
🤎 In good working condition
🤎 Free from stains, mould or damage
🤎 Freshly washed where possible

We believe every child deserves to receive items with dignity - things we'd happily give to our own children.

A NEW KINDNESS CUBBY DROP-OFF POINT! 💙

We’re so excited to welcome Harrison Agents Hobart as an official donation drop-off point for The Kindness Cubby Tasmania!

Having local businesses and organisations open their doors as donation points makes it so much easier for our community to get involved. Every time someone drops off a bag of children’s clothing, a packet of nappies, a toy, toiletries or other essentials, they’re helping us turn everyday generosity into practical support for a Tasmanian child or family doing it tough. 💙
