Four days. Hundreds of kilometres. One hot pink car. Four women carrying more grief than most people will ever understand.

Somehow, in the middle of dusty roads and country towns, we found space to laugh until we cried... and sometimes just cried. We pushed ourselves further than we thought we could, lifted each other up when things got tough, and made memories we'll carry with us forever.

The Dunga Derby is so much more than a road trip. It's the people. From the incredible crew who somehow make everything happen, to the teams you meet along the way, you're never made to feel like you're doing it alone. There was always someone ready with a smile, a hug, a helping hand, or a terrible joke when it was needed most.

There were drinks around the fire pits, comedy shows, music, dancing, pranks, a rodeo, and enough laughs to balance out the emotional moments. Every day brought something completely different, and every day reminded us why this event is so special.

To the organisers at Dunga Derby by Rally for a Cause, and everyone working behind the scenes, thank you. Thank you for creating something so much bigger than an event. You gave us an adventure, a challenge, and a community that wraps around people when they need it most.

Most importantly, thank you to each other. Through every dusty road, wrong turn, challenge, laugh, tear, and chaotic kilometre, we showed up for one another. We leaned on each other's strength, shared our stories, respected each other's grief, and celebrated every small victory along the way.

This journey reminded us that while grief may have brought us together, connection, friendship, and resilience carried us through. We started this adventure as a team, but we finished it as something more.

Our hearts are full. Our bodies are exhausted. And we'd do it all again in a heartbeat. 💗🚗✨

Day one DONE for Angel Families Dunga Derby Car

Hervey Bay to Mingo Crossing via a few exciting tracks!

Mud, sand, rocks, some VERY big dips, a recovery, some maxtrax fun and one VERY biggggg hill!

Places like Gin Gin and Mt Perry were so welcoming along the way 😁

Our Angel Families Fraser Coast Ladies are rocking the themed outfits, all matching: some tears, lots of smiles and so so many hugs and laughs. 🪽💕

Where will they end up today? Shh 🤫 it’s a secret!
