Here it is… our traditional Swiss/Italian Bullboar served on a potato rosti, with some rich napoli sauce and finely sliced radish…just one of the delectable taste sensations everyone got to enjoy on Friday night at our Spade to Blade Catering along with Hepburn Springs Brewing Co. fundraiser dinner. What a special created thanks to the generosity of Gary (spade to blade) Nick and Helen (Hepburn Springs brewing &co) donating 100% of the profits to our 2026 Festa.
I would like to take the opportunity on behalf of our committee to convey our deep gratitude and thanks for such amazing support to help make our Festa something our can feel very proud of.
Lastly to all who supported and purchased tickets we send you our sincere thanks and know that you all enjoyed a night of great flavour with the fantastic pairing of and along with great conversation.
Please make sure to visit Nick and Helen to experience the amazing array of beverage choices… there really is something for everyone and to Gary thank for being such an amazing part of supporting our community 👏🏼

Fun fact about bubble wrap…
It was originally designed as a wall paper!!!

Pop. It started in Switzerland 🇨🇭

What we now know as bubble wrap was co-invented in 1957 by Swiss engineer Marc Chavannes. Originally, it was not intended for packaging, but designed as a textured wallpaper.

The idea did not succeed in that form, but the material quickly found a new purpose. Its light and shock-absorbing properties made it ideal for protecting fragile goods during transport.

Today, bubble wrap is used worldwide, showing how a simple and unexpected innovation can become part of everyday life.

I had the privilege of receiving on behalf of our Swiss/Italian Festa committee a $1000 cheque courtesy of Daylesford Bowling Club from the proceeds of their Thursday night raffle so I want to say a BIG thank you to all who purchased those tickets and to Daylesford Bowling Club for their continued amazing community support.
Our bowling Club is a great place to meet up with friends for a drink and some fabulous club meals..

What a fantastic start to our fundraising events… we hosted our Trivia night at Daylesford Bowling Club last Tuesday night and what a fun night it was, our committee member Will was a fabulous MC including some great Swiss/Italian trivia questions, the food was outstanding thanks to Geoff our chef (see photo of our Swiss/Italian Bullboars presented beautifully) and the decorations set the scene 🇨🇭🇮🇹
The Ambassador was officially introduced… Hi, that would be me, one of the most passionate Swiss/Italian women I know, I can’t wait to celebrate this amazing season of Swiss/Italian heritage and love with you all ♥️💙
