Mackay and Whitsundays areas were recently upgraded to Fire Preparedness Level 3. Fire Wardens have been asked to very carefully consider the issue of any new permits and reconsider any existing permits. Remember that you need a permit for any fire that exceeds 2m in any direction and this is a year round requirement. You can find your local Fire Warden using " Fire Warden Finder " on the QFES website.
