On average, one Australian woman a week is murdered by her current or former partner. One in three Australian women has experienced physical violence since the age of 15. Voice of Change is not a crisis response service, nor an early intervention service, it is a primary prevention organisation that aims to change the attitudes, social conditions and cultural attitudes that underpin family violenc

e. To achieve this Voice of Change supports arts projects inspired by people with lived experience of family violence that highlight abusive behaviours, address patriarchal masculinity and promote behavioural change. Voice of Change also connects people to other recognised primary prevention organisations that offer specialised services, programs and educational resources that aim to prevent family violence. This primary prevention approach may include disrupting the stereotypes and attitudes that lead to gender inequalities and disrespect, helping people recognise abusive behaviour and speak up against it, and inviting men into the change journey as a way of interrupting the cycle of violence.

We’ve reached the last two days of our fundraising campaign. Can you help us get over our $10k fundraising goal for ?

Today marks the first day of 16 days of activism against gender based violence.
It’s the small actions you take that makes change. This is the day we have decided to launch our “I Stand Up” campaign. We stand up as individuals and a community, to use our voice against family & domestic violence.

What a tense game that was!  I’m not a gambler but I thought I would go for it all 😬 The big jackpot wasn’t to be, but Todd is such a nice guy he let me keep the $21,300 ‘pot’ 💰 I’m so grateful to have won this to help my charity keep its great work going with projects that help us make the cultural shift needed to end family and domestic violence. If you want to know more, look up voiceofchangeau.org or contact us on [email protected]
