💜 Wear It Purple Day 💜

This year’s theme, Colours of Courage, celebrates the many different forms of courage shown by LGBTQIA+SB young people, allies, and communities every day.

The colours in this year’s theme reflect the diversity of identities, experiences, and stories within our communities.

International Youth Day 2026 🌏

The 2026 theme, "Different Contexts, Common Aspirations," reminds us that young people across countries and communities, seek dignity, opportunity, meaningful participation, decent work, quality education, and a sustainable future. It recognises that while young people’s lives are shaped by different national and local realities, their aspirations are remarkably similar.

Our team at headspace Dandenong and Hastings is here to support you on your journey. 💚

💙 Loneliness Awareness Week | 3-9 August 2026

This week is Loneliness Awareness Week, Australia's national campaign shining a spotlight on the shared experience of loneliness.

Did you know that 1 in 2 people living in Australia experience loneliness and/or social isolation? Loneliness is one of the most common human experiences, yet it's often one of the least talked about.

This year's theme, "Make Room for Connection", reminds us that meaningful connection doesn't happen by accident. It grows through the spaces, opportunities, and moments we intentionally create for one another. Whether it's checking in on a friend, joining a community group, or simply taking time to listen, small acts of connection can make a big difference.💚

💚 If you or someone you know needs support, our teams at headspace Dandenong and headspace Hastings are here to help.

50 Years of Deadly. 🖤💛❤️

For five decades, NAIDOC Week has celebrated the voices of First Nations communities—voices that are steady, unapologetic, and proud.

At headspace Hastings, we recognize that NAIDOC Week is much more than a date on the calendar. It is a vital platform for truth-telling, a celebration of culture, and a powerful statement of survival. Today, we want to honor the Elders, the organizers, the artists, and the communities who have built this movement and continue to pave the way for the next generation.

We are constantly inspired by the way First Nations young people are leading change across health, education, business, and the arts—telling their own stories, on their own terms.

As we look toward the next 50 years, we remain committed to listening, learning, and walking alongside you as you grow strong in your identity, reclaim language, and continue the fight for justice.

NAIDOC belongs to mob. We are honored to celebrate this milestone with you and to keep working toward a future where every young person is supported, heard, and proud.

Still deadly. Always.
