***ALERT FOR CAMPING AND OUTDOOR RECREATION IN PARKS **
Forest Fire Management Victoria have advised that parks and forests will be closed to the public in the Wimmera, North Central, Northern Country and South West districts tomorrow (Friday 9 January 2026) due to the forecast Catastrophic Fire Danger Day.

Conditions will be too dangerous to visit or stay in parks and forests.
You may not be be notified and you may not see closure signs or physical barriers. Leave early for your own safety, and to for the safety of rescuers.

Wimmera includes the Northern Grampians including Halls Gap, Mt Arapiles, St Arnaud, Horsham across to the SA border.
South West includes the Southern Grampians, Mt Cole/Buangor parks, Hamilton and the south coast from Apollo Bay to the SA border.
North Central includes Marysville, Castlemaine, Seymour and Marysville, including Lake Eildon.
Northern Country includes Bendigo, Echuca, Shepparton and along a section of the Murray River.
