Last week, we visited Boggy Coal. It was a great day out, seeing how coal is extracted from the ground and learning where the wooden pegs are used at a mine.

Last week, we had the opportunity to visit GBP Cranes. It was a great morning out, where we learned how the cranes operate and how they support local communities. Thank you for the experience—it was both fun and informative!

The team at Mooki has been creating cows out of scrap wood — a fantastic way to repurpose materials and turn what might have been waste into something creative and meaningful. It’s all about making something out of nothing!

Today, we had the pleasure of visiting Reverence Sourdough & Cafe to learn how their amazing sourdough is made — and we even got to make our delicious pizzas! 🍕🥖

A huge thank you to Renée, Annie, and Logan for welcoming us and sharing their knowledge and hospitality. It was such a fun and tasty morning out!

The participants had a great time, and it was interesting to see where some of the surveyor pegs went. 

Last week, Whitehaven Production Superintendent, Dave Harris had the pleasure of providing visitors from Gunnedah Workshop Enterprises Ltd with a tour of our Vickery mine.

Gunnedah Workshop Enterprises is an organisation providing support and employment to local individuals living with a disability.

The day provided participants the chance to engage with our work, learn about industry processes and better understand how Whitehaven contributes to the local community.

What an incredible day at the Challenge Swimming Carnival!
From the cheers on the sidelines to the splashes in the pool, every moment was filled with energy, team spirit, and determination. A huge shoutout to everyone who gave it their all—whether you swam your heart out or cheered until you lost your voice! A big thank you to Challange for organising the day.
