🌈 PRIDE FORMAL: YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED! 💖

Everyone deserves a formal where they can be themselves—and that includes YOU! Got a few questions before you register? Let’s clear them up. ✨

💖 Who can come?
Pride Formal is open to young people aged 15–21! You don’t have to be LGBTQIA+—friends and allies are more than welcome. The more, the merrier!

🎓 Do I have to be at school or graduating this year?
Nope! Whether you’re still at school, have left or have already graduated, you’re welcome here.

👗 Do I need a fancy, expensive formal outfit?
Not at all! Wear whatever makes you feel like YOU. Jeans and your favourite T-shirt? Go for it. Want to dress up and feel fabulous? You do you! There’s no pressure to buy something new.

🎶 What happens on the night?
We party! Expect a stand-up, party-style celebration with fabulous drag hosts MCing the evening, drag performances, incredible DJs, dancing, games and prizes. Free food and drinks are included—just register and come ready to celebrate!

🌿 What if I need a break?
We’ll have a quiet space where you can step away from the noise, take a breather and recharge whenever you need to.

🚗 If I’m under 18, do my parents have to drop me off and pick me up?
No, a parent drop-off or pick-up isn’t required. We’ll contact you before the event to collect the details we need, including emergency contacts. Our adult volunteer team will also be there on the night to help you arrive and leave safely.

🛡️ Is the event secure?
Our volunteer team will be there to support you throughout the evening, alongside QT Gold Coast’s own security team. Pride Formal is a safe, inclusive celebration and is strictly drug and alcohol free.

Join the Gold Coast Pride Team at the Brisbane Pride Rally & March and help us bring some Gold Coast colour, energy and community spirit to the streets! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

We’re inviting our LGBTQIA+ community, allies, friends and families to march alongside us as we celebrate who we are and stand together for equality, visibility and inclusion.

📍 Corner of Ann & Brunswick Streets, Fortitude Valley
⏰ Gather from 9am (Look for the GCPC Banner!)
📣 Rally speeches from 9:30am
👟 March begins at 10am, heading to New Farm Park
