🏆 2026 QUEENSLAND OPEN BOULDER TITLES – THAT’S A WRAP!

What an incredible weekend of competition climbing at Urban Climb Milton!

Across seven categories, we’ve seen some outstanding performances, fierce competition, personal achievements and plenty of support from our Queensland climbing community.

👏 A huge congratulations to all our podium finishers! Your hard work, determination and commitment to the sport have been on full display this weekend. Swipe through to celebrate our medal winners across all seven categories!

But competition climbing is about more than medals. To every athlete who stepped onto the mats this weekend, whether it was your first competition or you’re a seasoned competitor, thank you for being part of it.

Registration is open for the 2026 Queensland Youth Boulder Titles! 🧗

Join us on 31 October–1 November at Gripswich, Ipswich. Gripswich is a new addition to our climbing community, and we’re excited to bring our young climbers and their families together at a new venue.

We’re especially excited to bring the full competition format to U11, U13 and U15 this year. All categories will have YWC format qualifiers across five boulders, followed by finals—a great opportunity for our younger athletes to experience the full competition format.

📅 Provisional weekend schedule:

• Saturday 31 October: U11, U13 and U15.
• Sunday 1 November: U17, U19, U17 Inclusive and Inclusive 17+.

Detailed timings will be confirmed closer to the event.

Our SCQ Open Boulder is almost here — and we’ve got just two days to fill the remaining volunteer roles.

Due to limited resources, we haven’t been able to get the volunteer sign-up live as early as we would have liked, so now we’re asking our community to get behind us.

We’re looking for route setters to join the team for SCQ Youth Boulder at Gripswich.

This is your chance to help shape a fun, challenging and memorable competition experience for Queensland’s next generation of climbers.

⚡ SPEED ROUND 1 — REGISTRATIONS ARE LIVE ⚡

The clock is on.

SCQ Speed Round 1 is coming to Bounce Hendra on Saturday 19 September, bringing together Youth, Open and Masters athletes for an evening of racing.

This round is all about putting down fast, consistent runs — with six qualifier runs for every athlete and no separate finals round.

THE 2026 QUEENSLAND OPEN BOULDER TITLES

Registration is now open.

Queensland’s premier Open Boulder competition returns to Urban Climb Milton, bringing together the state’s strongest climbers for a weekend of high-level competition, movement and performance.

Athletes will take on a purpose-built competition field designed to test power, precision, creativity and composure, with Queensland titles on the line.

Proudly hosted in partnership with Urban Climb and supported by K2 Basecamp, the event continues to showcase the depth and progression of competition climbing across Queensland.

⏳ 11 DAYS LEFT — HOLD THE FUTURE! 🧗‍♀️🧗‍♂️

We’ve already surpassed our fundraising target, and we genuinely can’t thank the Queensland climbing community enough for the incredible support. ❤️

With 11 days still remaining, we wanted to put one final call out to anyone who would like to be part of something pretty special — SCQ’s first-ever community-funded competition hold purchase.

The funds raised will help us build a collection of world-class competition holds for Queensland events, giving our climbers the opportunity to experience shapes, styles and movement they may never have climbed on before — including holds seen across World Cup circuits and PCL.

For us, this campaign has always been about more than simply buying holds. It’s about investing in our climbers, improving the competition experience in Queensland and exposing our athletes to the kind of movement and equipment they’ll encounter as they progress through the sport.

We’ve already achieved more than we hoped thanks to you. Anything raised over the next 11 days simply allows us to go further, add more variety and bring even more world-class climbing to Queensland.
