We were pleased to welcome local Member for Caulfield, David Southwick MP, to CIS Glen Eira in July.

During the visit, David met with CISVic CEO Kate Wheller, CIS Glen Eira Branch Manager Dani and members of our team to learn more about the cost of living challenges affecting people in our local community.

The discussion provided an opportunity to share insights from our frontline services and highlight the growing demand for support as individuals and families continue to navigate financial pressures.

Thank you for taking the time to visit and learn more about the experiences of local residents and the important role community support services play in helping people through difficult times.

🚨 AusAlert National Test – Monday 27 July at 2:00pm

Australia's new AusAlert emergency warning system will be tested nationwide before its official launch in October.

📱 At 2:00pm on Monday 27 July, compatible mobile devices across Australia will vibrate, sound a siren-like warning (even if on silent or Do Not Disturb), and display a test message.

The purpose of the test is to ensure the new system is working properly and to help Australians become familiar with the alerts that may be used during emergencies such as bushfires, floods, cyclones and other disasters.

AusAlert is also designed with accessibility in mind and supports a range of assistive technologies for people who are deaf, hard of hearing, blind, or have low vision.

Please don't be alarmed – this is only a nationwide test.
