Calling out to all Gisbornians. 📣

We need your help!

Gisborne Town Team would like to take part in the Macedon Ranges Thriving Villages Project and secure funding for a Town Centre Action Plan for Gisborne. These plans, developed with the community, help focus efforts to keep our town centres vibrant and thriving, and assist with funding projects. Plans have been delivered in Romsey, Lancefield, Riddells Creek and Malmsbury and we think it's Gisborne’s turn, but we need your help!

Tourism Macedon Ranges (TMR) have made a submission to Council to fund Town Centre Action Plans for Gisborne, Woodend and Kyneton and this has been included in the draft budget for 2026/27. Council are now seeking feedback on the draft budget.

To add your support click the link in the comments to complete Council’s online feedback form by this Friday 22nd May. Simply include the following in your feedback : "I support funding for the Macedon Ranges Thriving Villages Project for a Town Centre Action Plan for Gisborne”. The more support feedback the more chance we have of securing this project for Gisborne!

There’s excitement in the air as we prepare for the Gisborne Autumn Chalk Walk tomorrow!

Huge thank you to the Gisborne Town Team members and all who have supported this project.

Here you can see Pete and his crew from have helped to mount the giant chalk boards in the laneway.

Huge thanks to for the gorgeous Autumn design to colour in. (Does it look familiar? It’s his work from the Autumn Festival colouring competition).

Our Gisborne Autumn Chalk Walk is on these school holidays, Wednesday 15 April from 10am to 2pm in the laneway between 3 Little Pigs Gisborne and Kaffeine Bar for colouring in family fun! 🌈

We are excited to let you know that Meadow from Myths & Legends Gisborne will be joining us at the start of the event, spreading magic and a dash of face paint.

What a day. What a laneway. What a community.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out for the Gisborne Town Team Chalk Bomb and helped transform the laneway into something truly special. From tiny artists clutching chalk for the first time, to seasoned creatives sharing their skills - every mark added to something bigger than itself.
(If you haven't seen it yet, pop down to the laneway by 3 Little Pigs and take a look before it fades away!)

We’re incredibly grateful to 3 Little Pigs Cafe and Kaffeine Bar for hosting us and backing this slightly cheeky, very joyful takeover. Your support helped turn a simple idea into a shared experience for the whole town.

More than ever, moments like this matter. Coming together, creating side by side, talking, laughing, and making space for each other reminds us that community doesn’t just happen — it’s something we actively build.

Thank you, Gisborne, for showing up, showing care, and helping make our town a little brighter. Let’s keep finding ways to do this, together.

A successful start to the Chalk Bombing in the laneway next to 3 Little Pigs Gisborne.

Thanks to artists Jessie of Jessie Rigby Art and Clare of Ink and Designs for leading the way, and everyone else who picked up some chalk to bring a splash of joy and colour to this spot.
