Here is an update we received via email from the Macedon Ranges Shire Council, let’s hope there will actually be some tangible outcomes from the delay 🤞🏼

Gisborne Futures Structure Plan: Phase 4 Consultation Update
January 2024 project update.

Following last year’s consultation process that was undertaken from 2 October to 13 November 2023, we are continuing to review all submissions and considering how the plan may change in response to community and stakeholder feedback.

Further project updates on the outcomes of this review will be provided by mid 2024.

There have been no decisions on the draft Gisborne Structure Plan since last year’s consultation process, and submitters will be informed of when Council will make a decision on the Gisborne Structure Plan.

We continue to work with service providers, authorities and state departments in relation to matters raised during consultation.

We look forward to sharing a community update in mid-2024 and assure you that your input remains integral to shaping the Gisborne Structure Plan.

We're having an Open Day and everyone is invited!

When: 10th December 2023. 10am – 2pm
Where: 284 Kilmore Rd, Gisborne.
What: Pony rides, face painting, balloon animals, Santa in his CFA Firetruck, music, coffee, gelateria and a sausage sizzle.

Why: Since 2016 we’ve been researching and connecting with experts from around the world to imagine a better future for Gisborne, one that prioritises community health, connecting people, place and environment while promoting sustainability.

Our ambition is to create one of the healthiest, happiest and most sustainable communities in the world right here in Gisborne, with a connection to the enriched and enhanced local landscape that we all care about.

Our Open Day is a chance to share our vision, show you around, hear what you think, but most importantly, just relax and have a fun day with family, friends and neighbours.

The Macedon Ranges Shire Council's Gisborne Futures Plan proposes highly concentrated multi-level development at each end of Station Road. This will forever reshape Gisborne's unique character, intensify traffic congestion, reduce car parking and, more concerningly, offer a future devoid of the requisite schools, open spaces, and community assets we truly need.

Now is the time for residents to voice their opinion on this!

Hello Everyone

It’s been quite a journey since our last post two years ago, and we almost gave up on our dream for Glen Junor. BUT we’re back and more determined than ever. Stay tuned: we’ve got plenty of updates coming your way.

Right now, we want everyone to know that we are fully committed to creating exactly what we set out to achieve 5 years ago, which is using Glen Junor as a platform to create a beautiful place, a place that people love and a place that will forever leave a positive legacy for Gisborne.

So why are we posting now? The Macedon Ranges Shire Council has released their vision for Gisborne's Future Plan. This will shape lives for generations. We encourage you to take a look.

Our belief is steadfast: Gisborne needs a sustainable approach to development, one that caters not just for the housing needs of the community, but one which encompasses the crucial community infrastructure essential for our collective growth and prosperity. This was the essence of what Glen Junor presented to the council in 2021.
