The Earth Market Maitland in its 10th year offers Community the opportunity to shop locally, save fuel and support local farmers and producers. The Slow Food Hunter Valley volunteer run Earth market is held on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month in The Levee Central Maitland.
This month we are featuring our Baker John from Urban Mill who uses ancient grains grown in NSW and Victoria by small scale farmers. The flour is milled on site as needed for the deliciously nutritious, tasty and sustainable bakery products sold at the earth market and at Organic Feast in east maitland.

Next market date is Thursday, 2 April 2026 from 8am at The Levee Central Maitland in My Maitland

Our stallholder featured for April is John from Urban Mill Organic Feast.
Meet John, who's busy giving our stone mill, the "Demeter," its routine clean. This isn't just about keeping things tidy; it's about ensuring our biodynamic wheat is ground into the best flour possible.

Why Stone-Milled Flour?
Nutrition: Stone milling keeps the nutrients intact, unlike other methods that can strip them away.
Flavor: It brings out the natural oils, giving a richer taste.
Texture: The flour is finer and more consistent, perfect for baking.

John's dedication ensures we can continue to offer fresh, nutritious flour 🌾for all our bakery products.

Come and join us for all your Easter treats fresh and local.
