The cost of living is putting pressure on more people than ever.
For some, it can mean working two or even three jobs, trying to keep up with rent, bills, groceries and everything that can come with simply getting through the week.
And sometimes, despite doing everything you can, you still need a little help.
There should be no shame in that. Struggling doesn’t always look the way we expect it to and needing support doesn’t mean someone hasn’t worked hard enough.
This is why organisations like Don’t Forget My Pet are so important, and why the partnerships we build with other community organisations matter so much. We can’t reach everyone on our own.
By working alongside organisations like Bayleaf, we’re able to connect with people in our community who are already accessing support and help make sure their pets aren’t forgotten along the way 🐾
We would also like to extend our thank you to our friends at The Yellow Door Rescue, for sharing some of their pet stock donation with us.
A bag of pet food might seem like a small thing, but for someone already carrying the weight of rent, bills and rising grocery costs, it can mean one less thing to worry about. It can help someone keep providing for the animal who has been beside them through everything.
Different organisations, different role, but a shared understanding that people and their pets deserve to be supported through difficult times.
We’re incredibly grateful for the organisations we work alongside and the role they play in helping us reach the people and pets who need us most 💙
