Every person has a story.

This Refugee Week, we are proud to support Cultura's Annual Giving Campaign,
‘A Million Stories. One Community.’

In this video, produced by our incredibly talented Hadeel Albadran, community members share their personal migration journeys and experiences of building a new life in Australia.

Their stories are about strength, resilience and contributions of people from refugee backgrounds and the importance of creating communities where every person is treated with dignity, embraced with belonging, and given the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Welcome to our new students!

We are excited to welcome our newest student cohort from The Gordon as they begin their placement journey with Cultura.

Over the coming months, these students will gain valuable hands-on experience, learn from our dedicated teams, and contribute to the meaningful work we do across aged care and community services.

Student placements play an important role in developing the future workforce, providing opportunities to turn classroom learning into real-world practice while building the confidence, skills, and relationships that will support long-term careers in care.

We are proud to partner with The Gordon to support emerging talent and create pathways into a sector that makes a genuine difference in people's lives every day.

What an incredible opportunity for our Cultura and City of Greater Geelong Youth Parliament teams!

Yesterday, our young people were invited to the Parliament House by Ella George MP, to learn more about how Victoria’s Parliament works and what it takes to turn an idea into a Bill that can be debated on the floor of Parliament.

The visit gave our teams the chance to ask plenty of questions, share ideas from their own Bills, and hear about the experiences of Members of Parliament.

It was fantastic to meet with Deputy Premier Ben Carroll MP, Minister for Youth Luba Grigorovitch, Parliamentary Secretary for Multicultural Affairs Iwan Walters MP, and Alison Marchant MP.

A huge thank you to Ella George MP for making the time to host our group and for always being such a strong supporter of young people in our region. The generosity, encouragement and interest she showed our teams made the experience so special.

We are also incredibly grateful to Ella for raising issues identified through our team's Bill in her adjournment matter to the Minister for Mental Health. It was such a powerful reminder for our young leaders that their ideas matter and that their voices can help shape important conversations.
