At “community catch-ups”, forums, events (and on social media) a number of issues regarding public transport and infrastructure have been raised.

As promised, I collated these issues and took the opportunity during Parliament to sit down with Minister Joe Szakacs MP to go through each one - explain the issue, and what our community wanted to resolve the concern.

And while I’m not promising each issue will be fixed, nor am I promising each issue will be resolved tomorrow.

I can promise our voices are being heard and each issue is being investigated - potholes inspected, timetables and routes reviewed, design reviews progressed, signage considered, speed limit zones moved, planning developed.

Tony Modra is a hero for many.

He electrified the AFL, his goal kicking exploits and high flying marks earned him the nickname “Godra”.

He touched the hearts of football fans across the Nation.

I met Modra last year for the first time at Willaston Football Club’s Sportsman night.

He was as thrilled to be able to sign a 1990s Crows Jersey as Scott was to have it signed by his hero.

He took photos with everyone, signed balls and jerseys, donated his time - free of charge - to support his mate and the cause, and won two items in the auction before heading back to the Fleurieu.

My thoughts and those in our community are with Modra and his family at this difficult time and we wish him well in the exceptional care of our health hero’s at the Flinders Medical Centre.

This was my Office when I served as a Chief of Staff.

On the wall hung two degrees from the University of Adelaide.

During my time at Law School the University of Adelaide's highest ranking on the QS World University Rankings was 81st globally, a ranking achieved in 2009.

Today, the new Adelaide University bested that coming in at #79.

That ranking is more than a number though.

It reflects the significant investment and commitment of the Peter Malinauskas South Australian Labor Government to create a new world class education institution that continues to pay dividends.

A strong Adelaide University will deliver long-term benefits for future generations of South Australians and the state’s economy.

When Gawler locals, Pam and Andrew wanted to get away and explore our "island home" on their “Big Lap”, they were looking to tow their accommodation and, in their research, they stumbled across a South Australia start-up – Offline Campers .

Offline Campers have just signed there 200th contract, received design awards and have now brought manufacturing back to the old Holden Site.

As Minister Chris Picton MP officially opened the Offline Camper’s construction line at the Holden site, I caught up with Pam and Adam and they shared with me their love of their trailer and the adventures they’ve had in West, along with their plans to explore Cape York.

Offline Campers is an incredible success story and demonstrates that the North is primed to contribute for our State’s prosperity for generations to come.

With Parliament returning to pass the Budget this week, I recently visited one of the projects funded at Mark Oliphant College – the new student walkways!

The College’s Business Leader, John was very happy to join me as we tested the new walkways (prior to bituminization) which have been described as “gamechangers” given they will enhance student safety and reduce local traffic congestion in Munno Para.
