This week is National Volunteers Week where we publicly thank all volunteers that do such amazing work across Australia.
Our Haven volunteers absolutely deserve recognition and thanks for their efforts. We would not be able to give our clients the service they need without our selfless band of caring and knowledgeable ladies. They donate time out of their busy lives for shifts and extra training and activities, and support clients with their skills and warmth.
The Haven volunteers are a very special group of women and we are so grateful to all of them.

Today is Are You Safe at Home? Day.

It's an important opportunity to reach out to people in your life who may be experiencing abuse, letting them know they're not alone and that support is available.

You don’t need to be an expert. Just ask, listen and believe.

Today and every day, let's start the conversation to end family violence.

🌸 Welcome to The Haven Gawler 🌸

We’d like to extend a warm welcome to all our new followers, and a heartfelt thank you to our existing community for your continued support 💛

The Haven is based at the Gawler Community House on Schibener Road, Gawler, and is open Monday to Friday from 10am to 2pm.

Our dedicated team of volunteers is here to support, guide, and empower women who may need assistance across different areas of life. We provide a safe, welcoming, and non-judgemental space where women can:
✨ Access information, support, and resources
✨ Connect with others
✨ Or simply enjoy a cuppa and a friendly chat

The Haven is a free service, and no appointments are needed.

We encourage you to share our page and invite other women who may benefit—whether they’re taking their first steps toward change or are already on their journey and could use a little extra support.

We also host community groups open to all women, so keep an eye on our page for upcoming events and gatherings.

If you have any questions, our friendly team is available to help—either in person or over the phone.

Bookings are still being taken for our 6 week workshop series. this workshop is perfect for women recovering from family and domestic violence or wanting growth and knowledge to help start in their journey.
Limited spaces are available and bookings essential.
