Guess who is coming back to town?

The Rotary Club of Gawler Light is thrilled to bring the Gawler Christmas Parade back in 2026 and we can't wait to fill the streets with festive fun once again!

Expressions of Interest open Monday 1st June, so start dusting off those costumes, floats and big Christmas ideas.

On Wednesday evening, members of the Rotary Club of Gawler Light stood together with the Zonta Club of Gawler and the Gawler Domestic Violence Group for the National Domestic Violence Remembrance Day vigil.

We gathered at the beautiful Women’s mosaic memorial mural on Julian Tce to honour and remember lives lost far too soon. One of our members had the honour of sharing the story of a woman in her 40s, her life taken, her story left unfinished. It was a deeply moving moment that reminded us all how close to home these stories can be.

As each story was shared, there was a collective sense of reflection, sadness, and also gratitude. Gratitude for safety, for respectful relationships, and for communities that stand together to say no to violence. Not everyone has that, and that is why this work matters.

A particularly powerful moment was hearing a song written for this cause, with the songwriter standing among us. The words stay with you long after the evening ends.

We encourage everyone to take a moment to listen, to reflect, and to stand with us.

Because enough is enough.
It’s time to end domestic violence.
It’s time to make South Australia a place of safety and peace for all.

Shelterbags for winter 2026 are now here!
Our next order of Shelterbags has arrived, and the project team have been hard at work stencilling them ready for distribution this week!

Collection days for all our partner clubs are:
Thursday 23rd April 9.00am – 12.00pm

Saturday 2nd May 9.00am – 12.00pm

Today we’re proud to support the Town of Gawler Gawler Youth Skate Park event celebrating our incredible young people from the community.

Our Rotary members are on site helping set up, and we can’t wait to see an action‑packed event where young people take over the park and show off their skills.

A big shout‑out to everyone involved in making this happen. Rotary is all in when it comes to supporting youth, community, and connection.

A fantastic group of young people set sail today as part of the Rotary Youth Sailing Challenge. We're incredibly proud to sponsor Abigail, who is embarking on this amazing journey. This challenge is a wonderful opportunity to build confidence, resilience, teamwork and leadership skills, all of which are core values of Rotary.

We wish Abigail and the rest of the group fair winds and following seas and can't wait to hear all about her experience when she returns.
