FACET F FACET is a Western Australian based network and information resource for people with an interest in cultural, nature-based and eco-tourism.

The Association was conceived in 1991, when it became apparent that many exciting opportunities and developments were taking place in the field of cultural and eco-tourism, in isolation of each other. A core group of people then came together to establish FACET to advise on and promote sustainable tourism to government and industry involved in this new growth area. Our membership is diverse and is

drawn from the tourism sector, academe, government agencies, cultural, ecological and scientific institutions, the general public; i.e. anyone with an interest in the field.

FACET is thrilled to announce that the winner of the 2026 FACET Golden Guide Award is Chantell Field. The award was announced last night at the 2026 Perth Airport WA Tourism Conference being held in beautiful Carnarvon. Huge congratulations to Chantell, who is a marine biologist and tour guide at the Busselton Jetty. Chantell goes into the running for the 2026 Australia's Top Tour Guide Award to be presented later this year in Canberra. We wish Chantell all the best as a finalist in that prestigious award. Well done Chantell. 👏💕

FACET MEMBER SPOTLIGHT 💛

Today we’re highlighting , the team behind some of Perth’s most unique and memorable local experiences.

They’re helping people discover Boorloo/Perth through storytelling, culture, food and connection, including their new Cultural Connections – Yagan Square to ECU City Tour featuring Noongar history, public art, the new ECU City Campus and local bites, plus their beautiful Golden Hour: City Walk & Sunset Cruise with sunset river views, shared food and a glass of bubbles.

A brilliant example of creating experiences that celebrate place, people and community.
