IMPORTANT there have been reports of intruders being in residents backyards. If this happens to you ring 000 if they are on your property. Also always report online to crimestoppers. As a precaution install solar sensor lights around secluded areas of your property.

Neighbourhood Watch Fawkner along with SES Fawkner and Moreland and Hume neighborhood watch groups will be at Bunnings Coburg carpark this Sunday 23rd August 10am-1pm fitting anti theft screws to your number plates. Please come see us and help stop thieves taking your plates and using them in robberies.

We are aware of the number of drivers who insist on driving dangerously within our suburb of Fawkner.

We have to contend not just with drivers from our suburb but many impatient drivers who come into the suburb for sports activities and local takeaway outlets.

What we can all do is the following
👀Try and get a partial number plate and color of the vehicle and report online to crimestoppers also sending an email to local council, the more complaints the better chance we have to get speed humps etc.

When we see a speed camera on our main roads into Fawkner DON'T WARN PEOPLE ON SOCIAL MEDIA it defeats the purpose.

We apologize that we had to cancel last night's meeting but winter is upon us. A few reminders though.

Sunday 23rd August 10am-1pm Bunnings Coburg carpark, Safe Plate day, come and have anti theft screws fitted to your number plates, several Neighbourhood Watch Victoria Inc. groups will be there with SES Fawkner Unit members on the day.

Remember to not leave valuables in your vehicles, thieves will cause damage just to get small change.

Thieves are targeting the area, stealing number plates from vehicles. Neighborhood Watch holds many Safe Plate days through the year, fitting anti theft screws to your number plates.

The fitting of these screws are a detterant to thieves. We fit them for a gold coin donation or you can purchase them at Bunnings.

The next Safe Plate Day for us is Sunday 23rd August 10am-1pm at Bunnings Coburg in the carpark, we will be there with Fawkner SES and local Police.

PLEASE, do yourself a favor as well as the police and get these screws fitted to your vehicles, will save a lot of time for everyone.
