7 November 2025
NEW GENERAL MANAGER FOR FALLS CREEK APPOINTED

From Amber Gardner, CEO Alpine Resorts Victoria
I pleased to announce that, after an extensive recruitment process, we have appointed Colleen Gwynne as the new Falls Creek General Manager.

Colleen has significant senior management experience, recognised as a leader with strong business acumen and a proven track record of leadership and performance. She is currently working for ARV as the General Manager for Mt Baw Baw, and prior to that was the General Manager of Alice Springs Tourist Park and RK Apartments. As such, she understands both our organisation and the tourism and resort landscape, so is well positioned to lead ARV operations at Falls Creek.

She’s had an extensive background in government in the Northern Territory, with recent positions including the State’s Children’s Commissioner, and Executive Director roles in the Department of the Attorney General and the Department of Housing. Colleen has also had a long and distinguished career working for the Northern Territory Police, charged with leading organisational change and cultural transformation. This experience ensures she understands how to successfully navigate the regulatory and compliance framework that ARV operates in, while maintaining a pragmatic approach and strong community focus.

Colleen will formally commence in the Falls Creek GM role on 17 November but will be in-resort ahead of that time to connect with the Falls team.

I’d also like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the fantastic job that Fred Weir has done in the Acting GM role at Falls Creek while we have moved through this recruitment process. Fred, your willingness to step into the role and provide the team with strong leadership and support has been appreciated and recognised by staff and stakeholders alike. Thank you for all of your hard work and efforts in this space.

Amber Gardner, CEO
Alpine Resorts Victoria
