To end Volunteer week, we want to share a beautiful photo of some of our wonderful volunteers at Fernlea! On Thursday we had a lovely morning tea event for our volunteers. We had delicious treats and finger food, shared warm cups of tea and even warmer stories, and presented our volunteers with certificates of appreciation for all their hard work over the years.
These volunteers remind us just how important it is to be patient, thoughtful, kind, supportive, and open hearted in order to build and maintain a blossoming community. Volunteers are the best of society, giving all their love and time and effort just to help those around them the best they can.
To our volunteers: we love you so very much, and we can never thank you enough for all the work you put into this community.

It’s been a hot minute!
We have finally managed to sort our social schedule and communuty games night returns!
The 2nd and 4th Thursday’s will be dedicated to the social games players - a cheese board to which we all contribute, byo drinks and a night full of laughs. We will shortly be setting up the “hard core gamers” night for those who are a big more serious (and competitive!) stay tuned for that!
Thursday 14th from 6pm onwards for a 6.30 start. See you at the house!

In honour of Sir David Attenborough’s birthday today we would like to remind everyone about our worm farm permaculture workshop on the 31st of May! Book though our website, or drop by to get details! If you want to bring your kids or teach them about the subject, here are some amazing books we can recommend to help introduce your kids to conservation. Introducing kids to conservation and wildlife from a young age let’s them grow up with a deep understanding and appreciation of the world around them. You can borrow these great books from the Emerald library!
