IT'S MY BIRTHDAY TODAY AND SOMETHING WONDERFUL HAS HAPPENED:

Our beautiful Wally has been adopted after 3 years in care.

Wally arrived with his sibling and mummy cat as a sick kitten from Wakeley Vets in 23.
His mum was so poorly at one stage we thought we would lose her, but she recovered and was adopted by a lovely person.

Wally is a dream cat who gives cuddles and kisses for free, but for all these years sadly overlooked or the runner up. Our wonderful follower Jason even sponsored his adoption fee, but until this week no one for Wally.

It's been the best birthday for me, as Jason popped into Ermington Vets this morning and finally met Wally, he also left kitty litter and a lovely cat bed for Wally's new owners. Plus made a much needed donation to our rescue.

Ingrid and Vincent loved Wally on sight and off he went. Yes, I'm emotional as well, but we have to let them go, that's what we do.

I want to thank everyone that's helped Wally along his journey and Jason for being a super human being, along with Ingrid and Vincent for opening their hearts to Wally.

KYLIAN ADOPTION UPDATE:

Our lovely Kyian who was adopted a couple of weeks ago by Marketa and her family has settled in with Charlie their other cat.

The adoption was dependant on Charlie accepting a new friend and as you can see they have bonded.

We couldn't be happier for Kylian.

A WONDERFUL UPDATE:

In December last year a cat was found on our local streets by an Animal attendant from Ermington Veterinary Surgery

He was matted, malnourished, drooling, dehydrated and with an upper respiratory infection.

We called him Hendrix. On 22nd December he unfortunately started to deteriorate and breathing became laboured so I transported him to Animal Referral Hospital. I then collapsed myself and was blue lighted to Concord Hospital!

Hendrix spent a few days over Christmas at ARH fighting pneumonia and again without your donations and sponsorship cats like Hendrix wouldn't have survived.

His stay in hospital cost $9,422 as it attracted a surcharge of 30% being Christmas, but he was discharged back to Ermington Veterinary Surgery where his recovery was slow but steady.

He was adopted 6 months ago by Lucy and renamed Toby.

Lucy sent these wonderful photos of Toby yesterday, saying she feels so lucky to have him.

Thank you everyone who helped with his vet bill and to Lucy for opening her heart to Toby.

HI EVERYONE, MY NAME IS COSMO:

I arrived into the rescue early last year with my 2 brothers as a young kitten.

We were dumped at a Sydney Vet Clinic and they reached out to Moses Rescue to save us, so in we came.

I've never had someone come to meet me? I don't understand why as I'm a good boy. When you serve me my meals I always stop first to come up and thank you with a head butt before eating my yummy food.

I'm playful, but also enjoy looking out of the window to watch the world go by.

All my vet work's up to date and I would really love to meet you as I'm only 20 months old and will become your best friend?

Dear Jeffrey who arrived in our care a couple of months ago with a degloved jaw is ready to find his forever home 🙂

He's a beautiful kitten of 4.5 months of age who loves purring, playing and snuggling 🙂

His jaw looks good now and all his regular vet work has been completed, so all he needs now is someone to adopt him. Could that be you?

ADOPTION UPDATE:

Sara came to meet Mimi and her friend Bunny a couple of weeks ago and fell in love with them. Over time Mimi has bonded with Bunny, she takes care of him and washes him daily, which is cute to watch.

Sara then brought her partner Daniel to meet them both and he loved Bunny on sight.

So Sara adopted Mimi and Daniel Bunny and after strata approval they have been adopted together.

Bunny of course is one of the kittens that came in earlier this year with a broken leg and atm we were unsure if he would be able to keep it, but he came to Eastwood for rehab and recovered :-)

Thank you Dr. Marcel from Ermington Veterinary Surgery for saving Bunny's leg and to Daniel and Sara for adopting this adorable duo.

CAT OF THE WEEK PRECIOUS:

Yes, we are bringing back cat of the week as we have so many lovely adult cats looking for homes, most of which, like Precious haven't never had one meet or greet yet!

Precious arrived earlier this year with her kittens after being left at Liverpool Vet Hospital.

They have all left the shelter now and she sits waiting everyday hoping it will be her turn.

Precious is very friendly and at just over 2.5 years of age is really a big kitten. She's playful, loving and gentle with an affectionate nature so would be a wonderful companion for you.

All her vet work has been completed, including a dental, so please apply to meet her at Ermington :-)

INCOMING:

We were contacted yesterday morning via Petbarn that a local family had found this little kitten all alone.

As they were in their senior years, they were unable to keep her so reached out for help.

They delivered her to Ermington Veterinary Surgery where she will undergo initial vet work and isolation period.

She's just 550g but appears to be in good health and already on solids. I will head in there today to meet here when I go to visit our kitty's in hospital care.

LUCKY WAS INDEED LUCKY:

Little 3.5 month old Lucky who came into our care at the weekend had his vet work undertaken yesterday.

He was covered in mites!! They were everywhere poor kitten. An ear polyp was also discovered so has been attended to.

This is why we need our regular sponsors, donators and sharers. without you we can't do this work for those in need.

Once he's through his isolation time this beautiful kitty will be ready for his forever home.
