We are up to 5 paddle outs in Banzai Pipeline , Toowoon Bay , Byron Bay , Santa Cruz and El Salvador thanks to our spirited community across the oceans growing in an attempt to create the worlds largest ever paddle out in Early December 2025. Follow your heart , be yourself and may your light shine. This 5th paddle out, a side mission for Australia Day at Banzai Pipeline in Oahu , Hawaii was such a wild ride to get here , to this point in time , this photo. Like any other cool story that wouldn't happen any other way. All I can say is trust the process and let intution guide the way. The right thing will happen for you at the right time. Thanks to Wamiea and the Noth Shore kids for being a big support and paddling out with us. To making a difference in young peoples lives affected by violence all day, every day , all over the world. When you travel be sure to have a friendly chat to the locals. Remember someone is always looking up to you. One conversation might you all or inspire another , show respect, go surf with them and most of all have fun! Community spirit in action.

Director, Surf coach and Expedition Sea Kayaker Sam Hilton started with a goal in 2024 to paddle every day while volunteering his time to help establish Spirited Foundation Limited and share that experience with as many people as possible. This was part of his own healing journey through water with a vision to inspire and help others along the way. December 1st 2024 , was by far, the biggest day, with over 120 participants in Toowoon Bay and inspiring similar paddle outs in Byron Bay (Australia), Santa Cruz (California, USA) and Mizata (El Salvador) we attempted to create the world's largest ever paddle out to raise awareness about domestic violence and the impacts it's having on our youth. Spirited Foundation Limited is a charity that aims to break down stigmas and cycles of generational trauma by educating people & communities and increasing access to support. Want to get involved? We can support you to create and host your own paddle out experience locally in 2025, invite your community & help create hope, healing and renewal for youth in need around the world.

With only 10 days left in the year, it’s time to reflect on the incredible journey 2024 has been for Sam Hilton, the founder and director of Spirited Foundation Limited.

Sam has paddled every single day this year, demonstrating unwavering dedication to his mission of creating change through the healing power of nature.

In 2024, he:

Founded Spirited Foundation Limited, a charity dedicated to supporting youth impacted by domestic violence.

Broke three personal distance records on the water: 52.4 km, 72.1 km, and an incredible 111 km.

Hosted his first-ever attempt at the World’s Largest Ever Paddle-Out, bringing communities together across Australia, USA and El Salvador to raise awareness for an important cause.

This journey has been entirely voluntary, driven by Sam’s passion for empowering youth and fostering connection through nature.

As the year comes to a close, Sam is looking forward to the fifth paddle-out event early next year in Waikiki, Hawaii. He’s eager to discover the spirit of Hawaii and learn more about the birthplace of the paddle-out tradition.

2024 has been a year of growth, resilience, and profound community impact for Sam and Spirited Foundation Limited. With immense gratitude for the support received along the way, Sam is excited for what’s to come in 2025.

Rolling Sets Festival Launch: We connected with 10,000 festival-goers, spreading awareness and launching our Spirited Christmas Raffle.
