Jo W Kent
Jo is a Nordic shamanic practitioner, known as a Völva.
She has been holding space and circle in many different settings since 2010.
Jo is a trained community carer and Death Doula having worked in the care field since she was 19 years old. She has had many life experiences that have carried her through transformations, rights of passage and initiations which have granted her the ability to hold space with a huge level of understanding.
Jo’s biggest role in the community at the moment is within the Death care space, sharing her passion for reconnecting with mortality as the ultimate motivator and bringing back the sacred aspect of this very important closing ceremony of life.
Jo’s other passion lies in reconnecting with femininity in a divine and healthy way. Rather than running from femininity, she guides women into a deep connection so that humanity can reclaim the divine mother. Showing us that femininity is powerful, gritty, nurturing, soft and fierce all at once.
Jo offers :
- "Death cafe"- a monthly community event where people can come along, share a cuppa and ask questions about death and dying. All are welcome.
- Empowerment workshops
- Elemental courses
- Meditation and sound healing sessions
- Monthly Goddess Temple night (co-facilitated with Deanna Grace )
- Women's ancestral skills retreats (co-founded with Chiara Beclu and Wild women country)
And of course, holistic death care services.
