This was the waggon used in the Australian record camel team. It was made in Quirindi at the Moffat coach building works. The business was initially run by William John Moffat, who established coachbuilding footprint operations in several regional towns including Murrurundi, Gunnedah, and Quirindi. His brother, David Moffat (who would later become the first Mayor of Quirindi), subsequently bought a coachbuilding business from a J. Johns and ran the successful operation in Quirindi. At its peak in Quirindi, the firm employed around 12 men.In 1909, the Moffat brothers relocated their operation from Quirindi to "Glen Allen" in Duri (near Tamworth). There, they expanded to 17 employees and specialized in building massive heavy-haulage wagons for the prominent Goonoo Goonoo Station. The waggon is now owned by Oakfield Ranch, Anna Bay, NSW.
