Good afternoon Community,
An important survey is being conducted.
Please share your opinion for our Dundee region and ocean.

Community members are encouraged to share their views on this important issue. As many of us know, fishing is a valued part of life in Dundee and holds strong significance within our community.

If you would like your voice to be heard, we recommend submitting a written letter rather than completing the standard survey. Within the survey portal, there is an option at the bottom of the page to upload a document. You can use this feature to attach your letter and provide a more detailed and considered response.

Your input is important and helps ensure our community’s perspective is properly represented.

Help shape the future of Golden Snapper in the Greater Darwin region.

Reef fishing is an iconic part of the Territory lifestyle. It supports communities, local businesses and the economy.

Did you know Golden Snapper stocks in the Greater Darwin region are critically low?

📉 An independently reviewed stock assessment shows Golden Snapper numbers in the Greater Darwin region have dropped to around 14% of unfished levels.
🎣 Recreational fishing is the main cause of Golden Snapper stock decline, it represents 77% of the current catch with fishing tour operators taking 22% and commercial fishers 1%.

That’s why we’re inviting you to be part of the solution!

Your feedback will help guide decisions that support the recovery of Golden Snapper.

Easter Together 🙏

In morning light, the world feels new,
With skies of soft and hopeful blue,
A gentle breeze, a quiet grace,
Brings warmth upon each smiling face.

The birds will sing, the dragonflies rise,
Like joy unfolding in our eyes,
A time to gather, hearts as one,
In kindness shared, in love begun.

Through simple acts, through words we say,
We build our bonds this Easter Day,
A helping hand, a caring heart,
Each little piece a vital part.

For in our community we find,
A strength that lifts all humankind,
Together bright, together strong,
A place where all of us belong.

So let this day remind us true—
The good we share, the love we do,
Is what makes Easter shine its light,
And keeps our future warm and bright.

HAPPY EASTER From the DPA
To our Dundee region community

Timely warning to drive to the road conditions

Timely warning to drive to the road conditions

Last week I wrote to Minister Bill Yan about the state of our roads, particularly Cox Peninsula Road.

The road has deteriorated quickly and is now causing serious damage to vehicles, including tyres being ripped off rims.

That’s not just a personal cost, it’s a real safety risk.

A blown tyre at speed can lead to drivers losing control and serious incidents. For families, people towing boats, or visitors unfamiliar with the road, the risk is even higher.

While many drivers are slowing down, the current signage is not providing enough warning about the conditions ahead.

With the Easter long weekend approaching and traffic set to increase, temporary signage and clear warnings must be put in place immediately. Works to address the most damaged sections of road must also be prioritised.

In the meantime, please take extra care. Slow down, stay alert, and drive to the conditions.

Hi Everyone,
The Dundee Progress Association is preparing for our ANZAC Day Gunfire Breakfast, and we're reaching out to the community for a bit of help.
we're wondering if any local builders or tradies in the Dundee might have a portable toilet that we can borrow for the morning of the event.
If you're able to assist, or know someone who can, please comment below or send a message. Your support would be greatly appreciated in helping us make this community event run smoothly.
Thank you in advance for your support

Great to catch up over lunch at the Dundee Beach Tavern with Narelle, President of the Dundee Beach Progress Association, and Cathy to discuss local issues.

With the dry season fast approaching, there was plenty to talk about, from local markets to the condition of our roads and the impact that will have on residents, visitors, and local businesses.

Thanks to Narelle and Cathy for taking the time to discuss these important issues and for the work they continue to do for the community.
