Bishwobeena- Harmony with Tagore Inc. was initiated as a social group in 2014. It became an incorporated not-for-profit (Incorporation No. INC 1600481) cultural organization in 2016 to fill in the gap of a formalized Tagore Centre in Australia as well as in the Southern Hemisphere. tinguished literary and musical creations of renowned Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore. Bishwobeena- Harmony with Tagore Inc., as a unique organization is already on the upward spiraling pathway of efficaciously and effectively demonstrating esteemed credibility in creating a unique platform for Tagore enthusiasts and in enkindling similar interest, knowledge and passion within the Bengali and non-Bengali speaking younger generations in Australia. The organization draws in and further aspires to invite other national and overseas cultural organizations, artists, musicians, scholars and professionals to come together and work in collaboration to disseminate the lofty philosophies, available in vernacular and various translations all over the world, that emanates profusely in Tagore’s work and that defies all geographical boundaries successfully for generations, to promote multiculturalism, cultural exchange, humanity & harmony in Australia. The organization specializes in crafting stage concerts and functions that fundamentally showcases the contemporary and global issues, like World Peace; World Harmony; Mental Health; Women’s Rights; Violence, Duality of Human Nature and the organization is an ardent advocate of Human Strengths over Weaknesses – primarily through the immortal works of Tagore and contemporary iconic works of the spirit and mind from the Eastern & Western World. The task of representing a Tagore Centre in Australia, voicing a massage of virtue, selflessness, compassion and humanity through the rich literary and musical works of the world acclaimed ‘Gurudev’, Rabindranath Tagore, is mammoth but possible: We admit that our endeavors to this effect have only begun to sprout, we have a long way to go but outcomes so far have been encouraging! Our events are of unrelenting standards and making a definite mark among the community members as evidenced through objective surveys, media and audience feedback.
