Devonport Eisteddfod Society Inc. will hold their 2026 AGM on Tuesday, February 17 at 7.30pm at the Devonport RSL Bunker Lounge (off the bar/billiard room), MacFie Street. Devonport.

Devonport Eisteddfod were pleased to be the recipients of a Community Underwriting grant in 2024, which allowed us to purchase a trolley of music stands and music stand lights to go with them. The music stands were used during our 2025 Eisteddfod. As a result, competing groups were able to reduce the amount of equipment they needed to transport to the Eisteddfod. Unfortunately, due to our no photo condition (yes, it applies to us too) I don't have photos of them being used in competitions. But attach some images minus performers!

The Speech & Drama Discipline includes an Original Poem section. We are delighted to have competitors submit their writings for the competition.
With permissions, I will be publishing some of the winning entries. The first of these is from Grade 6 student Manaal

The Brass Band and Instrumental results have now been uploaded to Stardom. Congratulations to all our Award winners, who received their Awards at the Showcase of Talent last night. The Music & Brass Awards are now on uploaded to our webpage.

See what our competitors have been up to. The Showcase of Talent Concert, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Devonport North and the Devonport City Council, will be held on Thursday, September 18 from 7 pm at the Town Hall Theatre. The Concert covers a selection of performances from many disciplines and age groups of the the Eisteddfod Dance, Music, Speech & Drama classes. Tickets are on sale at the Town Hall Theatre Box Office. Adults $10, Youths 12-16 $5, and under 12s are free. You can’t beat that for entertainment and value.

The final afternoon and evening of the 96th Devonport Eisteddfod is on Wednesday, Sept 17 at the Town Hall Theatre. An evening of Brass, the Open and Junior Brass Championships and concluding with the Community Entertainment section, which is always a great watch. Afternoon session starts at 1.30, evening session starts at 7pm.

Open and Junior Brass Champions will perform on Wednesday evening at the Town Hall Theatre, from 7pm. Both of these are new championships.

The Brass Band section of the Eisteddfod commences today, Tuesday, at Lifeway at 1 pm, and continues this evening at 7 pm.
The afternoon session covers performances by 12 years & under to 18 years & under Brass and Orchestral Brass performers. The evening session is Open Brass classes. Both sessions will be great entertainment.

Music competitions continue this morning at Lifeway Church, William St, with vocal solos and duos across ages 8 years & under to 12 years & under. Styles are own choic, musical theatre and traditional. A wonderful mornings entertainment commences at 9 am.
