Dayboro Kindy is a community-based, not-for-profit kindergarten that is run by a committee of parents and guardians. We are affiliated with the Gowrie (Qld) Inc, which is licensed by the Office for Early

Childhood Education and Care. We cater for 3-5 year old children. We are licensed for a maximum capacity of 22 children in each group and we run two groups; children enrolled in ‘A’ Group attend Monday, Tuesday and alternate Wednesdays; children enrolled in ‘B’ Group attend "long" days every Thursday and Friday.
We are proud of our comprehensive sustainability program. Rather than simply discussing the basics of sustainability – such as recycling and water conservation – our program is integrated and holistic in its approach, allowing the children to ‘live’ a wide range of sustainability activities. The spacious Kindy grounds allow for the children to care for chickens and grow a diverse range of fruit and vegetable plants, from strawberries, lettuce and spinach to some more unusual trees and plants such as jaboticaba, cumquats and loquats. This gives our Kindy children a first-hand insight into the life cycles of both animals and plants.

Our 90s Ladies Night is shaping up to be an epic night out — and we've got the food sorted! 😋

🥘 Spanish Paellaman will be serving up three delicious paella options to choose from.

🧀 A grazing table will be ready to enjoy throughout the night.

🍰 And for those with a sweet tooth, we'll have a gorgeous dessert table by Confetti Cake Co!

Add great music, drinks, dancing, good friends and plenty of 90s fun… 💃✨

📚✨ What a wonderful Book Week celebration at Dayboro Community Kindy! ✨📚

Every year, the Children's Book Council of Australia holds Book Week across Australia to promote the importance of reading and the joy that children can find in it. Schools, libraries, booksellers, authors, illustrators and children come together to celebrate Australian Literature in a whole host of events and parades. This year's theme is "A Symphony of Stories..". It speaks to children’s sense of curiosity and imagination, and encourages a love of reading throughout childhood years.

This week, our Kindy children embraced the magic of stories by dressing up as their favourite book characters and sharing their love of reading with friends. From classic storybook favourites to imaginative new characters, it was a delight to see so much creativity and enthusiasm on display.

A highlight was our Book Week parades, where the children proudly showcased their costumes and enjoyed celebrating together. The smiles, excitement, and confidence shown by each child made the event truly special.

Thank you to our families for helping bring the children's favourite stories to life. We loved seeing the effort that went into every costume and sharing such a memorable day with our Kindy community.

📖❤️ Book Week is a wonderful reminder of the joy that books, storytelling, and imagination bring to children's lives. We look forward to many more reading adventures ahead!

🌟 BIG NEWS from
Kindy HQ! 🌟
We've officially completed our upgraded office where Cassie is basking in the glory of her new workspace while we tremble every time we need to put something in the office in case it’s put in the wrong spot 😂.
Let’s not forget our shiny new kitchen! 🍽️ It's so lovely that staff look forward to stacking the dishwasher each day. We’re also taking bets on who will leave the first paint stain on the bench 😂 The stainless-steel kitchen island was only made possible thanks to funds raised at the Dayboro Rodeo, so a massive thank you to everyone who supported this event!
Our new spaces will help us keep the magic happening behind the scenes while creating even more wonderful experiences for our little learners.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this happen. We can't wait to fill these rooms with teamwork, laughter, creativity... and probably a few mysterious Tupperware containers left in the fridge. 😄
Here's to cooking up great ideas and keeping the organised chaos flowing! 💚🏡✨

✨ **A Fairy Tale Thank You!** ✨

Our **Once Upon a Time Disco** was truly a magical evening, and it wouldn't have been possible without the incredible support of our wonderful community.

A huge **THANK YOU** to everyone who donated, volunteered, helped with setup and pack-up, decorated, and came along to dance the evening away. From princesses to knights, dragons, fairies and storybook favourites, it was so special to see our little ones bring the magic of fairy tales to life.

A special thank you to Jen, Jono and Sam, and to all our amazing volunteers and generous supporters who gave their time, creativity and enthusiasm to help transform the hall into a storybook wonderland. Your efforts created an unforgettable night filled with laughter, dancing and magical memories.

Every fairy tale has its heroes, and ours are all of you. Thank you for helping write another wonderful chapter in our kindy story. We are so grateful for your support and for making our **Once Upon a Time Disco** such a happily ever after! 📚✨🪩💛
