Join us for Operating in Austere Environments, a presentation by neurosurgeon Dr Ron Jithoo 🧠⚡
Dr Jithoo is a consultant neurosurgeon at The Alfred Hospital, with academic roles at Monash University, Deakin University, and the University of Papua New Guinea. He has a distinguished career with the Royal Australian Air Force, including deployment to the Middle East in 2021 as a military neurosurgeon, and was recognised with the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) in 2026.
He currently holds senior leadership, operational, and policy roles within Defence, including Deputy Director of Surgery and Perioperative Services, and contributes to national work in brain health and traumatic brain injury.
This is an incredible opportunity to gain insight into delivering surgical care in resource-limited environments, where adaptability, precision, and decision-making are critical!
